Boston College Energy and Environment Alumni Network was formed to expand professional networks in energy and the environment industries (including government, business, finance, nonprofit, education, and research); serve as a resource for AV研究所 alumni, students, faculty and administration; and assist alumni in keeping abreast of developments in these rapidly expanding fields.听The AV研究所 Energy & Environment Council鈥檚 main goals are:

The Energy and Environment Alumni Network (AV研究所EEAN) sponsors an event each semester that features speakers who address current topics in the ever-expanding fields of energy and environment and often partner with other affinity groups over shared topics of interest.
Green Career Fair
The Green Careers Networking Night is an energizing event connecting students directly with alumni and employer partners in sustainability, climate, and renewable energy. Designed for authentic, low-pressure conversations, the evening helps students turn their passion into tangible, impact-driven professional paths. Attendees can discover internships and full-time roles while exploring the diverse opportunities driving environmental change. This event takes place every two years.
Networking events
Offering AV研究所 alumni the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, these events are an important aspect of the Council鈥檚 work to bring alumni together. Attendees can expect to share their insights and knowledge, exchange ideas, and make valuable new connections.

Campus Resources
AV研究所鈥檚 Environmental Studies Program uses an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the science and policy of the Earth鈥檚 environmental challenges.
The AV研究所 Law Land & Environmental Law Program is designed to train professionals and encourage service in areas of increasingly critical importance to the lives and prosperity of people around the nation and the world, promoting policies and doctrines of sustainability of land, air, and water resources that support the myriad interlocking ecosystems that constitute life on the planet.
provides information on conservation, tips for reducing your carbon footprint, and news on campus initiatives (which can serve as a model for off-campus initiatives too!). Site includes news on the inter-dorm 鈥淓lectricity Saving鈥 competition.
The Weston Observatory is a geophysical research and science education center of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Boston College. The Observatory, which has been recording earthquakes since the 1930s, conducts research on earthquakes and related geoscience. It is part of a worldwide distributed network for earthquake monitoring and research and for providing educational and public outreach resources about all aspects of the science of seismology, earthquake hazards, and related geoscience.
